Job summary

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to work for a well established manufacturing business based in Rothley, LE7, Leicestershire. You will join the Finished Goods team, managing goods storage and preparing loading areas to fulfil production demands.

You will move pallets, load trucks, and perform stock checks, with training provided to operate a forklift. Afternoon shift 14:00-22:00, Monday to Friday, £13 per hour.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a warehouse or manufacturing role.
• Experience driving a Reach or Counterbalance forklift and National licence.
• Experience with clamp would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage goods storage in the warehouse.
• Prepare loading areas to fulfil production demands.
• Move pallets around the facility.
• Identify and report damages or quantity issues.
• Load trucks when needed.
• Operate forklift and other MHE after training.
• Stock taking when required.
• Keep on top of housekeeping.

This is expected to be a temp to perm position

The Job:

They are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to work in their Finished Goods team

You will be responsible for working in a team to manage the goods storage in the warehouse and to prepare the loading area to fulfil production demands

You will have a number of other tasks and responsibilities to adhere to

Which can include:

Moving pallets around the facility

Preparing loading areas in line with loading schedule documentation

Identify and report any damages or quantity issues

Loading trucks if needed

Operating a forklift and other MHE equipment once trained after being signed off to do so

Stock taking when required

Keep on top of housekeeping

• Shift is Afternoons 1400-2200 Monday to Friday
• Salary £13ph

The Person:

• Proven experience in a warehouse or manufacturing role
• Previous experience driving either a Reach or Counterbalance forklift and National licence
• Experience working with clamp would be an advantage
• Happy to work on either a morning shift or afternoon shift
• Access to own transport due to lack of public transport at certain shift times
