Job description

Are you a proven leader who thrives in a warehouse environment? Does motivating and developing a team come naturally to you? Do you have a flexible approach to management that allows you to organise and prioritise workload effectively? If yes, we have the opportunity for you!

We are looking for a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our prestigious LVMH site in Milton Keynes. You’ll be responsible for leading a team of colleagues and coordinating activities to achieve business goals; through focussing on continuous improvement and promoting a team-based culture.

The role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis. You’ll join us on a ‘any 5 out of 7’ shift pattern, the days of work rotate fortnightly between Monday to Friday, Tuesday to Saturday and Sunday to Thursday. Each two-week rotation will consist of one week of 06:00 – 14:00 and one week of 14:00 – 22:00. Every 12 weeks you also get 4 consecutive rest days!

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £33,422 per annum, you’ll also receive 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Be responsible for a team in any one of our key operational areas, playing a key role in achieving our daily targets and KPIs, striving with your team to achieve a best on class operation
• You will use your people skills to have great conversations with your team on performance related issues and you will be comfortable in having these 121-discussions understanding how to get the best from your teams whilst supporting them and recognising great individual performance
• You will have a great understanding of warehouse management systems and will use your skills to keep your team working efficiently and effectively
• With your keen eye for detail, you will be comfortable completing, maintaining and improving shift reports relating to people, performance and regulatory compliance
  
  
  

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Experience leading a team of warehouse colleagues within a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and approachable manner
• Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation
