We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivational Warehouse First Line Manager to join our team in Goresbrook on a full-time permanent basis!

As the Warehouse First Line Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing operations to ensure service levels are achieved safely and efficiently. You will play a vital role in ensuring customer requirements are met consistently.

We work with some of the largest well-known brands at this site, so a focus on customer needs and satisfaction is key in this role.

Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm/6pm-6am rotating.

Salary: £37,000 per annum.

Key Duties of a Warehouse First Line Manager:

• Act as the key point of contact in communication with the administration, stock, and management teams to resolve problems or issues within the warehouse.
• Prepare and complete shift handover documents fully and distribute data for seamless shift transitions.
• Manage performance of operatives using warehouse management system tools.
• Manage your team and ensure compliance with company policies and processes.
• Create training and resource plans with the support team to ensure the right skills are available on your shift.
• Ensure compliance with key control, logs, and safety checks.
• Complete all safety and legal requirements and sign off monthly WM checks.
• Assist with weekly customer updates as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a FLM or senior warehouse operative role, ideally in a fast-paced logistics/3PL environment.
• Knowledge of operational and people management.
• Strong computer skills; experience with WMS systems and SAP is advantageous.
• Ability to motivate, empower, and develop staff.
• Good communication and proactive consultation skills.
• Systematic, methodical approach to achieving project goals.
