Job summary

Humdinger Ltd in Sherburn-in-Elmet is recruiting for a permanent Logistics Operative on a 12-hour rotating shift, days and nights. Pay is £13.82 per hour with 3 x 20-minute breaks. Closing date: 28/08/2026.

Responsibilities include moving materials between warehouse, production and packing, ensuring timely stock delivery and maintaining accurate stock records. Desirable: experience with ERP systems and an FLT licence.

Qualifications

• Experience using warehouse management or stock control systems such as SAP, Sage, or QAD.
• Maintain stock accuracy and stock control processes.
• Experience transacting materials in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Confident using technology and computer-based systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Desirable: FLT licence (Counterbalance, Reach, Flexi or equivalent).
• Desirable FMCG manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Move materials accurately between warehouse, production and packing departments.
• Ensure stock is delivered to the correct location at the right time.
• Complete stock checks, PIMA checks and stock investigations.
• Maintain accurate stock records and support inventory control.
• Move finished goods from production lines to dispatch areas.
• Report stock variances, hazards and operational concerns promptly.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Support colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
