Job summary

Lidl is seeking a Department Manager for our RDC in the United Kingdom. This night-shift role is a 45-hour week, working any 5 out of 7, with 30-35 days' holiday pro rata and a 10% in-store discount.

You’ll lead a Shift Leader team to ensure products reach stores efficiently. You’ll drive productivity, manage daily operations, support the Team Manager with compliance and Head Office projects, and uphold our values while developing your team’s potential.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience and ability to drive a team to deliver results.
• Experience leading previous team(s) to success.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise deadlines under pressure.
• Keen eye for detail to control costs, rotas and transport plans.

• Be responsible for a department in the RDC.
• Line managing an amazing team of Shift Leaders, coaching and training them to succeed.
• Work closely with your team of Shift Leaders and other Department Managers to ensure smooth operation.
• Ambitiously boost productivity and optimise warehouse processes and performance.
• Take a hands-on approach to manage daily operational processes and shifts for your department.
• Support your Team Manager with operations, compliance and Head Office projects.
• Be responsible for grievance and investigation processes, acting as a disciplinary manager.
• Motivate and support your team, aligned with Company Values.
