Job summary

Wolseley UK Limited in Hemel Hempstead is hiring an Operations Assistant to support warehouse and customer service operations. You will handle goods in/out, assist the supervisor, and ensure safe storage and accurate labeling in a fast-paced trades environment.

Qualifications

• Previous industry experience would be ideal.
• Previous warehouse or Merchanting background.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Confidence interacting with customers and suppliers to build effective relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service by supplying the correct materials.
• Check Goods-in are correctly delivered against delivery notes and goods are booked in on the Wolseley System, then put away accurately and safely.
• Accurately picking and labeling goods booked out to customers and other branches using Wolseley System, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and adhere to health and safety guidelines, including manual handling techniques, use of loading equipment and PPE.
• Deputise for the Operations Supervisor or Manager as required.
