Job summary

The Compleat Food Group is seeking a proactive Warehouse Co-Ordinator for a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced chilled food operation. You will support the Warehouse Supervisor, deputise in their absence, and drive safe, accurate warehouse performance across ambient and temperature-controlled environments.

Key tasks include leading a small team, coordinating inbound/outbound logistics, and ensuring data accuracy and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• FLT licence required.
• Experience in warehouse operations, preferably FMCG.
• Solid communication in English and good literacy/numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership to a team of 5–15 warehouse operatives.
• Oversee inbound and outbound goods, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
• Ensure safe loading/unloading using MHE in line with HS and GMP procedures.
• deputise for Warehouse Supervisor, manage holidays and absence.
• Maintain FIFO, stock rotation and accurate data entry.

Job description

We’re looking for a proactive Warehouse Co-Ordinator to support our fast-paced chilled food manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll support the Warehouse Supervisor, deputise in their absence, and play a key role in ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient warehouse operations across ambient and temperature-controlled environments.

Job Title: Warehouse Co-Ordinator

Shift Pattern: 18:00 - 06:00 4on 4off D shift

Location: Unit 4, Bristol Distribution Park, Hawkley Drive, Woodlands Road, Bradley Stoke, Bristol BS32 0BF

Salary: £16.78 p/h (£35,120 per annum + overtime available)

About the role:

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership and support to a team of 5-15 warehouse operatives
• Delegate tasks effectively to maximise productivity and labour utilisation
• Oversee inbound deliveries and outbound dispatch to ensure accuracy, quality, and traceability
• Ensure safe loading and unloading of vehicles using MHE in line with all H&S, Technical, and Factory procedures
• Deputise for the Warehouse Supervisor when required, including managing holidays, sickness, absences, and return‑to‑work processes

Key Responsibilities

• Complete pre‑start checks on all departmental equipment, including recycling and waste equipment
• Ensure MHE is operated safely and correctly, reporting defects and VOR equipment promptly
• Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety, GMP, and Food Safety standards
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards using CAYGO (Clean As You Go)
• Lead, motivate, and support the warehouse team to achieve maximum output
• Monitor performance and ensure the most effective placement of operatives
• Provide on‑the‑job training, guidance, and support to new starters
• Maintain FIFO, traceability, and stock rotation at all times
• Ensure accurate data entry into System 21 / Marco
• Keep accurate records and ensure audit readiness (internal & external)

What We're Looking For:

• FLT Licence
• Experience working in a warehouse environment (FMCG desirable)
• Food Safety Level 2
• Health & Safety Level 2
• Strong communication skills and a good level of English
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, temperature‑controlled environment
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
• Experience in chilled or food manufacturing environments
• Previous experience leading or supporting warehouse teams
