Job summary

GSF Car Parts is seeking a Warehouse Controller in the UK to lead a team of Warehouse Operatives and ensure stock supports sales budgets. You will oversee Goods In/Out, Returns and Stock Control, optimise picking and loading for on-time deliveries, and collaborate with the branch manager on holiday cover and weekly planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Warehouse Operatives team and ensure smooth operation of Goods In/Out, Returns and Stock Control.

• Check stock quantities against computer systems and resolve discrepancies.
• Support branch manager with holidays/sickness cover and weekly planning.

Job description

As a Warehouse Controller as GSF Car Parts, you are responsible for motivating and leading a team of Warehouse Operatives. As the Warehouse Controller, you will ensure stock can deliver the sales budgets and the operational functions of the Warehouse run smoothly.

Main Duties Include

• Manage the organisation and performance to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Goods In, Goods Out, Returns and Stock Control departments
• Pick and load van / carrier accurately for timely customer delivery when required
• Check stock quantities are correct against computer
• Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles
• Ensure the operational functions of the Warehouse run smoothly and assist the branch manager with; holidays/sickness cover, preparing weekly plans, developing the warehouse team and work with Drivers to ensure the best delivery service for customers.
• Create a positive and supportive environment where employees are valued and can reach their true potential

Working hours: 45 (average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working

About You

As the Warehouse Controller, you will have a great track record of managing a warehouse, ideally gained within a fast-paced environment such as FMCG.
