Job summary

THG Ingenuity Ltd. in Manchester is seeking a Solutions Engineer to design scalable warehouse and fulfilment solutions for enterprise clients. You will translate operational needs into practical layouts and automation concepts, balancing capacity, cost and service levels.

Collaborating with customers, commercial teams, operations and engineering, you will incorporate AutoStore, Libiao and Geek+ robotics into tailored proposals and support complex tenders and deployments.

Qualifications

Proven experience in warehouse solutions design and automation engineering.
Experience designing warehouse or fulfilment solutions for large-scale operations.
Strong understanding of warehouse processes: storage, replenishment, picking, packing, sortation, dispatch.
Knowledge of warehouse automation systems and integration with WMS/WCS/OMS.
Ability to develop capacity plans, throughput models and cost analyses.

Responsibilities

Design end-to-end warehouse and fulfilment solutions for enterprise customers from concept to proposals.
Develop layouts, storage strategies, material flows and operational processes.
Evaluate automation technologies (AutoStore, Libiao, Geek+).
Assess capacity, throughput, labour requirements and constraints for scalable solutions.
Lead site visits and workshops to gather requirements and identify improvements.
Create technical specifications and tailored fulfilment solutions.
Develop capacity plans, throughput models and ROI analyses.
Collaborate with commercial teams to ensure feasible and cost-effective designs.
