Job summary

F.T. Farfan (Jamaica) Limited is seeking a suitably qualified candidate to join the team as a Warehouse Assistant.

The role involves the receipt and delivery of goods from the Warehouse to the Customer in a timely, orderly manner. Key duties include picking daily orders, checking-off goods for delivery, loading and offloading items, accompanying the Van Driver, stocking shelves, stock checks, forklift operation when required, maintaining housekeeping, and ensuring all accessories are secured.

Qualifications

• Five (5) CXC O’ Level passes inclusive of Mathematics and English Language.
• At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of applications.
• Valid forklift license or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Picks and verifies daily orders.
• Assists with the check-off of goods for delivery to customers.
• Loads and offloads goods onto/off delivery vehicles.
• Accompanies the Van Driver to customer locations.
• Packs and maintains shelves in the Warehouse.
• Assists in the off-loading, checking and receiving of all goods for the Warehouse.
• Assists in the verification of goods received via air freight, sea freight, local shipment within the specified time.
• Assists with stock checks and stock check preparations.
• Drives and maintains forklift when required.
• Housekeeping in the Warehouse and surrounding areas.
• Ensures accessories such as rope, strapping, tarpaulins, and tools are secured.
• Adheres to Health, Safety and Environmental policies and promotes HSE awareness.
• Performs other duties to enhance operations.
