Job summary

Dobbies Garden Centres Ltd is hiring Warehouse Assistants to deliver excellent customer experience across our stores. You’ll help customers with transactions, support the warehouse team with deliveries, and keep store equipment in good order while assisting on shop floor when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering customer service in a retail environment.
• Understanding of stock processes and store systems.
• Forklift license would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with transactions across the store.
• Support warehouse by receiving deliveries and maintaining standards.
• Ensure store equipment is well looked after.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the store and shopfloor.
• Take on additional tasks across stock, till, and restaurant areas as needed.

Our Warehouse Assistants play an essential role in delivering customer experience across our stores - driving sales, promoting customer loyalty and maintaining high warehouse standards.

Responsibilities

• Giving great customer service by helping customers with various transactions across the store
• Supporting the warehouse team by booking in and receiving deliveries, whilst maintaining warehouse standards
• Ensuring all store equipment is well looked after
• Working with your team to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of your store
• You will also work on the shopfloor and other areas of the store as and when required, this may include working stock, cash handling, till work, take to care deliveries, restaurant service - an ideal opportunity to gain more skills and experience

• You'll bring operations expertise with experience in retail and an understanding of stock processes and systems - a relevant forklift truck license would be ideal
