Job summary

Dobbies Garden Centres Ltd is hiring Warehouse Assistants to help deliver a great customer experience across our stores. You will drive sales, support stock processes, and help maintain high warehouse standards while working as part of a friendly team.

In this busy role, you will handle deliveries, assist with stock, till work and restaurant service as needed, and bring a can-do attitude. We value reliability, teamwork, and a passion for gardens.

Qualifications

• Passion for delivering a great customer experience across retail stores.
• Experience in retail operations and stock processes; forklift license is advantageous.
• Team player with reliability, punctuality, and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Give great customer service by helping customers with transactions across the store.
• Support the warehouse team by booking in deliveries and maintaining standards.
• Ensure store equipment is well looked after.
• Work with the team to keep the store clean and well maintained.
• Assist on shopfloor and other areas, including stock, cash handling, till work, deliveries, restaurant service.

Job description

Our Warehouse Assistants play an essential role in delivering customer experience across our stores - driving sales, promoting customer loyalty and maintaining high warehouse standards.

Responsibilities

• Giving great customer service by helping customers with various transactions across the store
• Supporting the warehouse team by booking in and receiving deliveries, whilst maintaining warehouse standards
• Ensuring all store equipment is well looked after
• Working with your team to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of your store
• You will also work on the shopfloor and other areas of the store as and when required, this may include working stock, cash handling, till work, take to care deliveries, restaurant service - an ideal opportunity to gain more skills and experience

• You'll bring operations expertise with experience in retail and an understanding of stock processes and systems - a relevant forklift truck license would be ideal
