Job summary

Driver Hire Southampton is hiring a Warehouse Operative for an established agricultural supplies business in Stockbridge. The role starts ASAP with a Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm schedule and temp-to-perm progression.

Salary ranges from £28,000 to £30,000 per year with a £50 weekly KPI bonus and a length-of-servicegbs bonus. On-site parking and uniform provided; driving duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Must have a full UK driving licence.
• Must be over 25 due to insurance requirements.
• Counterbalance, Reach Truck or Order Picker licences are preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Picking customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Preparing orders for dispatch.
• Moving and organising stock within the warehouse.
• Checking stock and ensuring orders are correct.
• Loading vehicles for delivery.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe warehouse.

Warehouse Operative - Stockbridge

Driver Hire Southampton are recruiting for a reliable Warehouse Operative to join an established agricultural supplies business in Stockbridge.

The Role

The role will initially focus on picking customer orders, with a new computer system being introduced later in the year, which you will be trained to use.

Duties will include:

• Picking customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Preparing orders for dispatch
• Moving and organising stock within the warehouse
• Checking stock and ensuring orders are correct
• Loading vehicles for delivery
• General warehouse duties
• Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
• Following all health and safety procedures
• Working as part of the team to meet daily requirements
• Learning and using the company's new warehouse computer system when it is introduced later in the year
• Carrying out relevant computer/system input as required
• Supporting the wider warehouse operation when required
• Carrying out customer deliveries when required
• Providing holiday cover for drivers during the quieter periods of January-March and October-December

A full UK driving licence is essential, as driving and delivery work will form part of the role.
