Job summary

IKEA Warrington is hiring a Warehouse Assistant to join our fulfilment team. You will help stock replenishment, process deliveries, manage recycling and waste, and keep the warehouse clean and safe, so products are available for customers every day.

This is a hands-on, part-time role (16 hours per week) with shifts 6am–6pm on Sundays and Mondays. Starting 3 November 2026, the position offers 13.45 GBP per hour and the chance to grow within a supportive retail environment.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not essential.
• Must be 18 years or older due to health and safety regulations.
• Physical role requiring manual handling and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Support customers in the warehouse by helping them locate products and providing assistance.
• Ensure products are readily available by completing warehouse tasks accurately and on time.
• Support the receiving and organisation of deliveries, ensuring goods are processed, stored, and replenished correctly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment, including housekeeping and stock organisation.
• Clear cardboard and recycling from across the store and ensure recycling areas stay tidy and compliant.
• Operate equipment such as the cardboard baler and compactor safely and effectively.
• Work with teams across the store to collect, sort, and dispose of recycling in a timely manner.
• Follow IKEA health, safety and security procedures to maintain a safe environment for colleagues, customers, equipment, and stock.
• Move goods with warehouse equipment including forklift trucks and pump trucks.

We're looking for a proactive Warehouse Assistant to help keep our warehouse running efficiently and safely. You'll support stock replenishment, process deliveries, manage recycling and waste, maintain high housekeeping standards, and work with warehouse equipment to ensure products are available for customers every day. Health & safety regulations for this role, you must be 18 years of age or older.,

• Work collaboratively with teams across the store to ensure recycling and waste are collected, sorted, and disposed of in a timely manner.
• Follow all IKEA health, safety, and security procedures, actively contributing to a safe environment for co-workers, customers, equipment, buildings, and products.
• Work with or around warehouse equipment, including forklift trucks, counterbalance trucks, and pump trucks, to safely and efficiently move goods.
• Support stock replenishment activities and prepare the warehouse and sales areas for incoming deliveries and the next trading day.Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to priorities and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
• Be self-reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
• This is a physical, hands-on role, which includes manual handling stock & recyling, whilst also working to a deadline.
• Due to Health and Safety Regulations all applicants must be over the age of 18.Start date of employment will be: 3rd November 2026.
• Hourly rate of £13.45 per hour
• 16 hours weekly, working 2 days out of 7. The set working days for this contract are Sunday & Monday each week.
• Working hours are between 6am - 6pm.
