Job summary

Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of our client, a multi-award-winning office machine distributor, for a Warehouse Operative to join their successful and friendly team on a temporary basis.

Based in Devon and Torbay, the role includes picking/packing, loading/unloading, stock handling and general housekeeping. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, at £12.80 per hour. Prior warehouse experience is essential; a forklift licence is advantageous.

• A valid forklift licence would be advantageous.
• Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties.

WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for a variety of warehouse duties, including:

• Picking and packing orders
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Stock handling and movement
• General warehouse housekeeping
• Supporting the wider warehouse team to ensure smooth operations

Previous warehouse experience is essential, and a valid forklift licence would be advantageous.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment
• Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
• Be able to work independently when required
• Enjoy working as part of a team
