Job summary

Otters Edge Campground in the Outer Hebrides is seeking a self-contained couple to run day-to-day tasks, including welcoming guests, liaising with customers, cleaning and basic grounds maintenance. The role runs six days a week from May to the end of August, with start times around 8.30am and a post-lunch pace to fit the guest schedule.

Accommodation is provided with pitches, water and electricity included, and access to on-site facilities and washing.

Job description

Employer's Name: Otters Edge Campground (was Shellbay) Location: Hebrides

Otters Edge is a small family owned and run site in the Outer Hebrides Dave and Diane would like to spend more time doing retirement things, so we need some help.

We are looking for a self contained couple to carry out day to day tasks involving customer liaison, cleaning, ground maintenance and welcoming customers. This a 6 day week role from May to end of August. Just right for wildlife spotting up here, and there`s plenty to see.

A day probably starts around 8.30am with a quick check on facility building to ensure consumables are in place etc and no defects are noted.

At 11.00am when customers leave we close the toilet block for cleaning etc, this is a 1 - 1 1/2 hr task.

Ensure bins are okay and when appropriate place for collection (times vary)

We ask customers to arrive around 1pm allowing a lunch break.

Again we ask people to arrive between 1-6.00pm unless agreed with us, sometimes ferries run late and we may need to see the odd late arrival (10.00pm)

Ground maintenance is quite simple using strimmer, sit on mower, and garden implements.

Your pitch, water and electric, is included and use of facilities and washing is also available.
