Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen on Lyme Ward. We are looking to recruit a motivated, experienced, dynamic, forward-thinking professional seeking a new challenge as a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse. The role requires flexibility with days, nights, and weekends to join our team.

Lyme Ward is a highly specialized Colorectal surgical ward offering post-operative care for Colorectal and Upper GI patients, including Cancer surgery. Our patient group includes elective, acute, high dependency post-ITU, and emergency cases.

Daily roles include ward coordination, teaching and supporting team members, attending multidisciplinary team meetings, delivering and monitoring high standards of care, and supporting the Clinical Nurse Manager with management tasks such as sickness/capability monitoring, appraisals, training, recruitment, and rostering.

You should demonstrate leadership, motivation, excellent communication skills, and good time management. An interest in developing leadership and management skills and a passion for our diverse specialties are important.
