We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the existing teams on AMU, a 42-bed unit with 92 nursing staff. The successful candidate will work alongside our nursing team to help deliver high-quality care.
Reporting directly to the Ward Manager/Senior Sisters, the Ward Operational Co-ordinator will provide operational and administrative support to ensure the wards operate efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include assisting the Ward Manager/Senior Sister in managing team work patterns, meeting schedules, notes, minutes, and actions, project coordination, planning and delivering investigations, and supporting staff-related processes such as sickness absence management, annual leave, and team rostering. This role is varied, engaging, and ideal for individuals seeking progression into management or human resources roles.
Applicants may have backgrounds in administration, business management, or project coordination. Essential skills include excellent interpersonal, negotiation, verbal and written communication skills, strong IT proficiency, and the ability to plan, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively, with an understanding of the clinical patient journey.
The post holder will work within the office on this busy, fast-paced unit.
