Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Materials Management Officer to join the Materials Management team at University Hospitals Coventry, with occasional cover at Hospital of St Cross.

You will monitor ward and department stock, manage materials flow, and support the expansion of the Materials Management function across wards, ensuring stock levels are accurate and cost-effective.

Qualifications

• Experience in stock management within a healthcare or retail environment.
• Good numeracy and literacy with strong accuracy.
• Ability to train and supervise new staff in data capture and ordering systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage materials at ward/department level and act as main contact.
• Attend ward/department meetings and coordinate stock replenishment.
• Produce stock reports and assist in stock level reviews.
• Liaise with suppliers on deliveries, returns and discrepancies.
• Provide training to new staff on data capture and ordering systems.
