The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Ward Clerk for a busy neurosurgical spinal ward in Liverpool. You will provide comprehensive clerical support, manage case notes, and liaise with ward staff, clinical coding, and external teams to ensure smooth patient administration.

To provide comprehensive clerical support to a busy neurosurgical spinal ward in performing the role of ward clerk. Work closely with ward staff, nurse in charge, allied healthcare professionals, medical colleagues, clinical coding, and neurosurgical matron, To greet and guide patients and visitors inclusive of relatives and visitors to the ward area.
Within ward clerk duties you would be expected to prepare, and locate case notes for ward admissions and be responsible for filing inpatient notes and correspondence. To liaise with community teams to arrange clinic appointments, and assist in sending appropriate referrals. You will be required to utilise the PAS system to input data of all admissions, transfers and discharges. Respond to calls via telephone, to assist with preparation of admin for emergencyadmissions.
