Job summary

The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, part of Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, is seeking a Band 3 Therapy Support Worker to join the acute inpatient therapy team in the Surgical and Oncology service.

You will work under supervision with Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist, manage a delegated caseload, assist with mobility and transfers, and contribute to discharge planning across a 34.5-hour week, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within or alongside physiotherapy and/or occupational therapy is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work with patients in a ward setting under supervision from a Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist.
• Manage your own delegated clinical caseload and support with mobility and transfers assessments.
• Assist with all aspects of discharge planning.
