Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust is seeking a Therapy Support Worker to support the inpatient therapy team at Leominster Community Hospital. You’ll work with Occupational & Physiotherapists on wards to promote rehabilitation and enable best outcomes, within a supportive MDT setting.

You will follow supervised competencies, manage a caseload, and participate in 7 day working, with opportunities to develop and contribute to service improvements across the therapy services.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to engage and support patients to maximise functional potential.
• Autonomous practitioner and team player with initiative.
• Keen to learn and develop new skills.
• Liaise with community teams to organise services and equipment fitting at patients' homes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct clinical, technical or scientific activities under supervision.
• Carry own caseloads, prioritise workload and work with service users under supervision.
• Complete the relevant competencies required for the post.
• Participate in 7 day working and contribute to service improvement.
