Job summary
Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Pharmacy Assistant to support ward-based medicines management and the clinical pharmacy team. You will assist with dispensing in ward and dispensary areas and help train Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians and new staff.
Applicants should have prior hospital or community pharmacy experience and hold at least NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services.
Qualifications
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
- Experience in hospital or community pharmacy is desirable.
- Commitment to patient-focused care and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Provide pharmacy assistant support to clinical pharmacy team at ward level.
- Assist with medicine dispensing in ward and dispensary.
- Support training of PTPTs and new entrants; participate in weekend and late shift systems.
