Job summary

One Wight Health Ltd seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support St Helens Medical Centre on the Isle of Wight. The role is 30 hours per week with salary dependent on experience. You will aid medicines optimisation, MR reconciliation, and EPService implementation within a busy practice.

The post requires GPhC registration and relevant training; you will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, cost-effective medicines use and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Registered with the GPhC and eligible to work as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Enrolled in or qualified from an approved training programme for Primary Care Pharmacy Technicians.
• Good knowledge of medicines optimisation and repeat prescribing processes.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking patient facing and patient supporting roles to ensure effective medicines use.
• Conduct medicines optimisation and reconcilation across clinics and post-discharge.
• Support prescribers with structured medication reviews (SMRs).
• Lead safe handling of medicines and EPS implementation where required.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to reduce wastage and improve processes.
• Provide training and support on legal and secure handling of medicines.
