Make a real impact on inpatient care through medicines optimisation. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our Medicines Optimisation Team supporting inpatient services across Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES), Swindon, and Wiltshire, with the primary base at Savernake Community Hospital. This is a key role in delivering a safe, efficient, and high-quality ward-based pharmacy service within a community hospital setting. You will play a vital part in supporting medicines optimisation in line with national and local policies, helping to improve patient outcomes through the safe, effective, and cost-conscious use of medicines. Key responsibilities will include supporting cost-effective prescribing, contributing to medicines budget management, reducing medicines wastage, and supporting wider medicines management and service improvement initiatives. You will work with a high degree of autonomy within agreed guidelines, using your initiative to support the delivery of the wider medicines optimisation strategy.
