A Global Leader in Advanced Braking Technology in Bedford is seeking a Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical) to lead project teams and oversee all design-for-manufacture activities. The role requires strong 3D CAD skills, project management and ISO 9001 experience.

A background in heavy components is advantageous for this position, with opportunities to drive multi-disciplinary design and manufacturing initiatives within a well-established engineering group.

Qualifications

Wanted: Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical)

Position: Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical)

Location: Bedford

Salary: c£30,000

A Global Leader in Advanced Braking Technology is seeking a Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical) to lead project teams & carry out all aspects of design for manufacture of the company’s mechanical products, whilst providing technical support.

You’ll be working to ISO 9001 standards as relating to product design project work & order processing.

You’ll be project managing new & existing products as well as individual one off projects.

One of your key responsibilities will include using & exploiting the companies 3D CAD system to it’s maximum capability.

You’ll be of a similar working background with a proven track record of several years Mechanical Design experience and will be educated to HNC Level (Ideally in Mechanical Engineering), or equivalent work experience.

You’ll be experienced with 3D Solid Modelling & will have Project Management experience.

A background in a Heavy Component Environment would certainly hold you in good stead.
