Job summary

Nadara is seeking a Welsh Development Manager to lead a portfolio of renewable energy projects across Wales, from greenfield to Ready to Build status. You will manage multiple projects with a focus on feasibility, planning consent and value creation, while coordinating with landowners, communities and regulators to ensure robust development governance.

The role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness and a strategic mindset, with travel across Wales and UK as needed.

Qualifications

• Typically 7–10 years' experience in renewable energy development, infrastructure development, environmental planning or a related sector.
• Strong understanding of the Welsh planning and consenting environment, including engagement with PEDW, NRW, local authorities and statutory consultees.
• Experience of repowering projects, repowering assets or redevelopment of existing infrastructure would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a portfolio of onshore renewable energy projects in Wales.
• Manage greenfield, acquisition, co-development and repowering opportunities through a robust development process.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and public consultation activities with landowners, communities and authorities.
• Prepare and present development materials including PAR submissions, Go/No Go recommendations and business cases.
• Oversee project programmes, budgets, risks and critical path activities to meet milestones.
• Ensure governance with reporting, financial forecasting and risk tracking in internal systems.
