Job summary
Caretech Group is seeking a Waking Nights Support Worker for our Children’s Residential Home. You will provide a calm, compassionate night-time presence, monitor wellbeing, and respond to distress to keep children safe.

Qualifications
- Experience in residential childcare or similar setting.
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards it.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and trauma-informed practice.
- Excellent written reporting skills.
- Ability to work nights and maintain professional boundaries.
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional reassurance and a calm, consistent night presence.
- Monitor wellbeing and respond to distress or incidents during the night.
- Complete logs, safeguarding reports, and handovers to the day team.
- Support bedtime and morning routines, including waking children and assisting with personal care.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure a safe, peaceful environment.
- Help maintain a therapeutic and stable atmosphere in line with care plans.
