Job summary

Swanton Care and Community is seeking a Waking Nights Support Worker in Much Wenlock. The role provides practical and emotional support to empower residents to engage with the community and live as independently as possible, with 24/7 coverage and both lone and team working.

• Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish.
• Promote health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support in an inclusive way.
• General housekeeping duties including shopping and domestic tasks, plus elements of personal care.
• Complete a range of records and documents.
• Each person we support has 1 to 1 support.
• Lone working and team-working.

The Role

Whilst fully embracing the company ethos support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live.

Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
