Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a Residential Support Worker (Waking Nights) to join our Residential Family Centre in Aylesbury. You will help provide a safe, supportive environment for parents and children aged 0 to 6, and assist with assessments and safeguarding.

You will monitor CCTV on a rota, collaborate with families, foster carers, social workers and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes. A NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care is advantageous, though not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with families and children.
• Commitment to learning and professional development.
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support parents with children aged 0–6 to develop skills and safe care.
• Contribute to assessing long-term capacity and provide practical and emotional support.
• Monitor CCTV on a rota to inform assessments and safeguarding decisions.
