Job summary

Spark of Genius in Coylton, South Ayrshire, is hiring a Residential Childcare Practitioner for waking nights. You will support young people with daily routines, ensure readiness for school, help with homework, meals, activities and therapeutic care to those who have experienced trauma.

You will build trusting relationships, work with colleagues to deliver high-quality, child-centred care, maintain records and contribute to care planning.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily routines, including mornings for school/college readiness.
• Help with homework and meals, plan activities, and encourage hobbies and healthy pastimes.
• Provide consistent, nurturing, and therapeutic care for children with trauma.
• Build trusting relationships and work with colleagues to deliver high-quality, child-centred care.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and risk assessments.
• Participate in team meetings, training and reflective practice sessions.
