Job summary

Royal Mencap Society is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker in Thorpe Willoughby to provide compassionate, person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities. You will join a dedicated team, delivering safe, respectful support during night hours and building meaningful relationships with service users and colleagues.

Experience in care helps but is not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills to build relationships with individuals and families.
• Empathy and patience to support people with learning disabilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and changes in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide waking night support to individuals in Thorpe Willoughby.
• Promote safety, well-being and independent living for people with learning disabilities.
• Record and report changes and DBS-compliant safeguarding matters.
• Participate in ongoing training and development as part of the team.
