Royal Mencap Society in Aberystwyth is seeking Waking Nights Support Workers to join our services on a full-time or part-time basis. You will work with individuals with learning disabilities, helping with daily activities and providing emotional support.

We support a diverse group with interests like music, crafts, cooking, gardening, walks, and games. The role requires a genuine passion for helping others, strong communication, flexibility for varied shifts, and a kind, empathetic attitude.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
• DBS check completed or to be completed as part of recruitment.

Responsabilités

• Assist with daily activities and personal care as needed.
• Provide emotional support and companionship.
• Support individuals with activities such as music, crafts, cooking, gardening, walks, board games, and social outings.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and respectful environment across shifts.
