Job summary

Royal Mencap Society in Fishguard is recruiting for a part-time support worker to assist three ladies with daily activities and social engagement. You will join a dedicated team delivering 24-hour care, with rotas published at least four weeks ahead to support personal and social plans.

The role requires a genuine passion for helping others, excellent communication, flexibility across shifts including evenings and weekends, and a caring attitude toward individuals with learning disabilities.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support 3 active ladies with activities they enjoy (holidays, horse riding, volunteering, swimming, shopping).
• Work across varied shifts including sleep-ins, days, weekends and bank holidays.
• Contribute to rotas planned at least 4 weeks in advance to support work-life balance.
