A local support organization is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to ensure the safety and well-being of residents with autism during night shifts. Duties include routine checks, administering care, and household management, while promoting independence. A supportive team environment awaits, making each day meaningful. Salary/Hourly Rate: £20,638.80 pa / £12.60 p.h. (Pro Rata for part time)

Waking Night Support workers help the people we support to feel safe and secure throughout the night. Delivering exceptional care and individualized support ensures that our residents live as independently and safely as possible. The responsibilities of the role include assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of the service and carrying out necessary utility checks. This is a personally rewarding role where you can build on your skills and experience. Having a background in supporting people with Autism in a previous social care role is desirable, though not essential.
What is essential is that you understand that autism can be complex and challenging and that each person we support is unique.
Curlew Crescent is a residential service, currently supporting 6 male adults with autism. Curlew has a real homely feel with a large, shared area that the guys enjoy socializing together in. They also have their own rooms which are personalised to their own needs. Our residents participate in a wide range of activities, including group activities such as visiting theme parks, dinners out and even an evening out at a local nightclub. They also enjoy their own activities such as visiting local garden centres and going on walks in the local area.
The specialist staff team on site are looking forward to welcoming a new colleague and are a lovely welcoming bunch of individuals who really enjoy each others company which makes for a great team atmosphere.
