Job summary

CareTech is recruiting Support Workers for our Nuneaton service, providing care to adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. The role focuses on delivering person-centred support and promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing through daily living assistance and community activities.

We welcome both new and experienced applicants who are caring, patient and reliable, with good communication and basic IT/written skills. Sleep-ins and shift work are required.

Responsibilities

About the Service

We are recruiting Support Workers to join our service in Nuneaton, supporting adults with learning disabilities, complex needs, autism, and mental health needs. Whether you're new to care or experienced, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding, long-term career – any truly make a difference! Bluebell / Kingsbridge is a care home which provides care and support to people with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorder who enjoy a wide range of hobbies from Bowling and Swimming to Dance and Music. There is easy access to public transport and it is close to local shops.

Service User Interests

• Arts and crafts
• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
• Holidays and short breaks
• Walks in the local park and community
• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

Role

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support activities, appointments, and community access
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins

We're seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care

Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis

Drivers desirable but not essential

Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
