Job summary

East Sussex County Council in Hailsham is seeking x3 Waking Night Support Workers to join a new Supported Living service. Roles involve night hours from 21:45 to 07:45, with weekly hours ranging between 20 and 30. You will support adults with learning disabilities to realise their potential and develop independent skills.

Experience is welcome but not required; life skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are valued. A comprehensive induction and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

  • Ability to provide support in a person-centred way, demonstrating respect, kindness and sensitivity at all times with all aspects of their care needs
  • Can communicate both verbally and in written form with the individuals we support, and other professionals/ families involved in their care
  • Able to work in a team and independently, using their initiative and know when to seek further guidance from others
  • Able to meet the travel requirements for the post

Job description

We are a new Supported Living service in Hailsham and want dedicated people to join us. We are looking for x3 Waking Night Support Workers, with hours varying from 20-30 hours. Your role will involve working alongside adults with a learning disability to help them to realise their potential, live life to the full, build independent skills and live their best life. The role is varied, no two days will be the same.

Waking Night Support Worker hours are 21:45pm - 07:45am.
