Central Recruitment Services Ltd. is recruiting Waking Night Support Workers to cover SWEP provisions across Victoria, Kilburn and Charing Cross.

The role supports rough sleepers with temporary accommodation during cold periods, requiring experience with adults and young people facing homelessness, mental health and substance misuse challenges. Typical shifts run overnight, with a maximum of three nights per week, and the role includes evening/early-morning duties as part of a rota.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK (current, valid).
• Minimum 12 months’ paid frontline social care experience in the last three years.
• Fully enhanced DBS registered on Update Service or within last 12 months, or willingness to apply (£50 cost).
• Employment or education history covering last five years, verifiable via referencing.

Description du poste

Central Recruitment is currently recruiting Waking Night Support Workers to work across services in Victoria, Kilburn and Charing Cross. The roles will support Severe Weather Emergency Provision (SWEP), providing temporary accommodation and support to people experiencing rough sleeping during periods of cold weather.

We are looking for candidates with previous experience of working with adults and young people with complex support needs, including those related to homelessness, mental health and substance misuse. Duties may include providing overnight support, carrying out initial assessments and undertaking light-touch casework to help individuals access appropriate support.

Shift patterns and pay:

• Monday to Friday: 19:30 - 08:30
• Saturday and Sunday: 21:30 - 09:00
• Workers must be available to work a maximum of three nights per week
• Applicants must not currently be in a permanent role

Further requirements:

To register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Current, valid right to work in the UK
• Minimum 12 months’ paid experience in a frontline social care role within the last three years*
• A fully enhanced DBS registered on the DBS Update Service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central at a cost of £50
• Employment or education history covering the last five years, which can be verified through the referencing process
