Qualifications

  • Expérience en soins de santé ou soins sociaux, notamment avec des personnes atteintes de troubles d'apprentissage et d'autisme.
  • Permis de conduire britannique valide.
  • Capacité à travailler les weekends et jours fériés.

Responsibilities

  • Soutien aux utilisateurs de services, y compris l'assistance personnelle et la défense de leurs intérêts.
  • Travailler avec des adultes ayant des comportements difficiles et des troubles d'apprentissage.

Ullswater Court is a Supported Living environment that supports Service Users with Learning and Physical Disability. We are looking for someone who has great communication skills, a full clean UK Driving Licence and experience in Health and Social Care for example; autism, learning disability and personal care.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience working with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviours
  • Be an advocate on someone’s behalf
  • Full UK Valid Driving Licence

Support Worker Roles and Responsibilities

  • Experience in a caring environment
  • Experience of working with adults with autism
  • Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities
  • Able to work unsociable hours, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Excellent communication skills, allowing you to engage & interact with our service users
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure
  • Confidence to work alone and also be part of a team (family)
  • Passionate about making a positive difference in someone else’s life
  • Excellent writing skills

What we do!

We are a well-established, nationwide healthcare provider. Our homes are specialist mental health services and established, offering adults person-centred care. We carefully develop and adapt homes to meet the varying needs of adults with mental health needs. The services are carefully located within thriving communities, offering a variety of educational, recreational, and social activities.

We provide a positive impact on the service experience of people with mental health difficulties who may be experiencing emotional distress. This primarily involves support using a person-centred approach. Our support workers measure outcomes specifically to an individual’s needs and evidence using our person-centred outcome-measuring tool.

Successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure prior to commencement of employment. The disclosure expense will be met by the employer.
