Job summary

CareTech Group in Galston is seeking a dedicated support worker to help young people with daily routines, school preparation and activities. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required, focusing on creating a warm, safe environment.

You will build trusting relationships, support with records, plan trips and provide emotional encouragement. The role offers a full-time contract, paid induction, and clear progression opportunities including a 24/7 helpline and hardship support.

Pay: £27,976 to £32,510.40 depending on experience and qualifications.

What You’ll Do

As a support worker, you will support young people with their daily routines, getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities. You will also:

• Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping
• Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support
• Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects
• Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
