Job summary

HomeCare Direct Limited in Barnsley is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant (PA) or Health Care Assistant (HCA) to support a young person with complex care needs. You will provide companionship, engage in activities, and assist with daily routines, personal care and medications.

The role requires a warm, energetic and proactive approach, with opportunities to develop skills and progress within a supportive team. Shifts include nights and days, with enhanced pay for bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the UK; Home Care Direct does not offer sponsorship or work visas
• Knowledge of Epilepsy is essential
• Experience and knowledge of behaviours with restraint/breakaway – essential
• Full clean UK driving licence (25+ for insurance) – desirable

Meet Our Client

You will be supporting a young man who enjoys regular interaction,games and engaging activities. They are looking for a proactive, friendly andenergetic Support Worker with a playful and bubbly personality who can providecompanionship and keep them engaged through activities such as board games,electronic games and reading. The individual has Worster-Drought Syndrome,hypothyroidism, complex epilepsy, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a Vagus NerveStimulator (VNS), scoliosis, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD andPathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). The ideal candidate will be patient,adaptable and confident in supporting someone with complex health andbehavioural needs while promoting a fun, positive and engaging environment.
