Job summary

Compass Children’s Homes in Cottingham is seeking a dedicated Waking Night Support Worker for a residential Family Assessment Centre. You will join a multi-disciplinary team, support Parent & Child placements, monitor safety and CCTV during the night.

A DBS check and strong safeguarding commitment are essential; shifts run 10pm–8am across seven days on a rolling pattern, with flexibility to cover as required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in Children’s Residential, Early Years or Children’s Social Care setting.
• Good safeguarding knowledge and experience with complex families.
• Ability to communicate effectively in complex or challenging situations with families.

Responsibilities

• Provide waking night support for Parent & Child placements in a residential setting.
• Monitor safety of families and CCTV during night shifts.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to support families and staff.
