Job summary

VENTURE-PEOPLE LIMITED is seeking a compassionate Waking Night Mental Health Support Worker for their Littlehampton accommodation service. You will provide overnight support to individuals with mental health needs, ensuring safety, wellbeing and comfort throughout the night.

The role offers a full-time permanent contract with a structured induction, ongoing professional development and a supportive management team. Prior experience in mental health is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health or social care is desirable.
• Excellent communication and a calm, patient approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care and emotional support during waking night shifts.
• Monitor wellbeing and respond to incidents calmly and professionally.
• Assist with night-time routines and personal care where required.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with day staff for continuity of care.
• Promote independence and recovery-focused approaches.
