Job Description:

We have an excellent opportunity for Waiting Staff with a friendly, can-do attitude to join our client's beautiful gastro restaurant / hotel in Burcot, Oxfordshire. This role offers the option to commute or live on site, and includes one free meal per day when on duty.

About the company

Our client is a 400-year-old gastro restaurant operated by its owner and head chef for the last 16 years. In 2019, they added 9 boutique hotel rooms for guests to explore Oxfordshire and The Cotswolds.

About the role

As a member of the Front of House Waiting Staff team, your responsibilities will include:

• Adhoc duties such as restocking fridges and stocktaking
• Displaying a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor to make guests feel special
• Welcoming, greeting, and assisting everyone entering and leaving the building
• Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness in the restaurant area
• Taking food and drink orders accurately
• Delivering food and drinks to tables as required
• Clearing and resetting tables

About you

For this role, you should have:

• Recent relevant experience in a similar role
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Own transport or ability to use public transport (not essential for live-in staff)
• Ability to start within 1 month of accepting the job
• Excellent people skills, flexibility, and good communication skills
• A good command of the English language
• A strong work ethic and outstanding customer service skills

Hours and rewards

The position involves working 47.5 hours per week over 5 days, including weekends. Compensation includes:

• An attractive salary ranging from approximately £24,000 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, with opportunities for progression
