Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Steward/Waiting Staff member at Campbell Officers Mess, Larkhill, to support military personnel on an MOD base. You will help ensure a positive dining experience through service, setup, and fast, reliable support.

No previous hospitality experience is required, and we welcome a positive attitude, reliability, and flexibility. The role offers on-the-job training, apprenticeship qualifications, and clear career progression within Sodexo.

As a Steward / Waiting Staff with Sodexo at Campbell Officers Mess, Larkhill, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP4 8QT . You'll play an important role in supporting military personnel on a Ministry of Defence (MOD) base. Your day-to-day interactions will directly impact the experience of those serving, ensuring they have a positive and efficient dining experience.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Dining Area Setup:Prepare dining areas, functions, and meeting spaces before service to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Food Service & Replenishment:Serve meals and replenish food stations as needed, ensuring everything is available and properly maintained throughout service.
• Customer Interaction:Provide professional and courteous service to military personnel in dining, retail, and other areas.
• Cleaning & Hygiene:Maintain cleanliness and hygiene by regularly sanitizing workstations, equipment, and dining areas in line with health and safety standards.
• Event Support:Assist with special events and functions, ensuring all aspects of service run smoothly and efficiently.
• Teamwork:Work closely with your team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.

What You'Ll Need:

• Professionalism and Respect:A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and respect for others in all interactions.
• No Experience Required:Previous hospitality or food service experience is helpful but not required. A willingness to learn and adapt is key.
• Reliability & Flexibility:Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs.
