Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a WAF Security Engineer to design, implement and optimise Web Application Firewall controls across edge and cloud environments. You will contribute to secure-by-default patterns, automation and scalable security services, with a focus on reducing false positives while maintaining customer experience.

You will work with IaC, CI/CD pipelines and modern security tooling, shaping the technical direction and standards within a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with edge, on-premises or cloud-native WAF technologies.
• Strong automation and scripting skills (Python preferred).
• Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise WAF controls and rules.
• Engineer WAF capabilities with IaC and CI/CD.
• Improve observability, monitoring and incident response for WAF platforms.
• Collaborate with Security, Network and Cloud teams on incidents.
