Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group in Manchester/Leeds/Edinburgh seeks a WAF Security Engineer to design, implement and maintain WAF platforms across edge, data centre and cloud environments. You will apply secure-by-default patterns, automate with IaC and CI/CD, and contribute to platform resilience and security at scale.

You will work with Security Engineering, Network and Cloud teams, shaping the future of Layer 7 security services and incident response with autonomy and technical influence.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing and operating WAF platforms.
• Strong automation skills and secure-by-default thinking.
• Proven ability to work across edge, data centre and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise WAF controls and policies.
• Develop WAF capabilities with IaC, CI/CD and policy-as-code.
• Contribute to platform modernisation and reduce technical debt.
• Improve monitoring, telemetry and incident response.
• Collaborate with Security Engineering, Network and Cloud teams.
