Job summary

The Core Engineering at Goldman Sachs in Birmingham seeks a Software Engineer at Vice President level to help build and operate the platforms powering regulatory submissions and data workflows. You will take features end-to-end in Agile teams, from requirements through release and run, collaborating with Finance stakeholders to translate regulatory needs into technical designs.

You will contribute to data modelling, develop scalable solutions, and create reusable components for cross-team use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a numerate/technical discipline.
• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong analysis and design skills including data structures and algorithms.
• Hands-on programming in Java / Python.
• Strong communication with both technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and own systems that produce the firm’s regulatory submissions to global regulators.
• Take features end to end in an Agile team — requirements, design, code, test, UAT, release and run.
• Produce technical designs, testing strategies, and implementation plans.
• Work with Finance stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into data workflows and specifications.
• Build reusable solutions for cross-team adoption and contribute to data modelling for large datasets.
