// At Masabi, we’re driving the fare payment revolution, powering the journeys of millions all over the world. We build fare collection platforms that allow riders to seamlessly buy and present tickets for public transport either on their mobile phones, from a ticket machine, or even by tapping their bank card to travel.

The Role_

// We’re looking for a VP of FP&A to help take Masabi’s financial planning function to the next level. This role isn’t just about reporting and oversight, it’s about building a forward-looking, commercially minded FP&A team that delivers clarity, drives performance, and supports growth.

You’ll bring structure to our budgeting and forecasting cycles, build models that reflect how we sell, deliver, and renew, and work closely across departments to ensure financial thinking becomes embedded in everyday decisions.

You’ll be a key partner to the CFO and executive team, shaping how we tell our financial story and make strategic choices. As we implement new planning infrastructure, your leadership will help teams access timely insights, streamline reporting, and operate with greater confidence and accountability.

Location_

// This role is available on a fully remote basis for candidates based in the UK, with the option of a hybrid model for those located in London.

Responsibilities_

Strategic Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead planning cycles including annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and multi-year scenarios
  • Deliver three-statement forecasting with strong balance sheet and cash flow rigour
  • Partner with GTM, Product, and Services to build models grounded in business context
  • Translate insight into action: support pricing, investment cases, and growth planning

Commercial & Operational Partnership

  • Foster business ownership of targets through transparent forecasting and monthly reviews
  • Help leaders turn insight into action with pragmatic, digestible metrics
  • Promote clarity and simplicity by applying the 80/20 rule to reporting and analysis
  • Encourage cross-functional collaboration to embed financial thinking in daily decisions

Book of Business & Commission Ownership

  • Maintain and optimise visibility into Masabi’s CARR position
  • Support GTM with aligned commission forecasting and reporting processes
  • Contribute to commercial strategy through pricing, renewals, upsells, and churn insight

Board & Investor Reporting

  • Collaborate with the CFO to prepare board materials and investor insights
  • Present data clearly and contextually, supporting confident external conversations
  • Strengthen our "no surprises" culture through predictable reporting and insight
  • Coach and empower a growing FP&A team to become trusted business partners
  • Provide structure, clarity, and feedback in a supportive, growth-minded environment
  • Champion a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Systems & Tools

  • Lead implementation of a scalable FP&A planning platform (e.g. Planful, Adaptive)
  • Build infrastructure for self-serve dashboards
  • Promote smarter automation and improved accessibility across reporting workflows

What You Bring_

  • Senior-level FP&A experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or recurring revenue environments
  • Demonstrated success implementing and optimising planning tools
  • Deep fluency in SaaS metrics: ARR, CAC, churn, backlog, bookings, renewals
  • Certified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent SaaS advisory experience
  • Proven track record in building and leading cross-functional forecasting models
  • Strong communicator with a collaborative and inclusive working style
  • High EQ and coaching-first mindset; lifts others and creates space for diverse thinking
  • Adaptable in ambiguity, curious, and motivated by impact and improvement

Nice to Have_

  • Experience scaling FP&A in high-growth SaaS or post-M&A environments
  • Ownership of ARR bridge modelling and SaaS revenue forecasting
  • Hands-on use of tools like Microsoft Dynamics, BigQuery, or Planful
  • Involvement in pricing, investment cases, or commercial decision support
  • Early exposure to leveraging AI in finance, automation, or reporting
