Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The Opportunity: We are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Vice President of Marketing to be the most senior marketing leader within Multiverse. This is a pivotal leadership role, reporting directly to the COO, and will be instrumental in defining and executing our global marketing strategy. You will lead and inspire a high-performing team of around 20 marketing professionals across various disciplines, driving brand evolution, robust demand generation, and impactful learner engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategy & Leadership:
    • Develop and own the overarching marketing strategy for Multiverse, aligning it with the company's ambitious growth objectives, particularly across B2B Enterprise and mid-market segments in the UK and new international markets.
    • Translate business goals into actionable marketing plans, establishing clear KPIs and driving accountability across the marketing function.
    • Act as a key strategic partner to the CEO in encapsulating and articulating the Multiverse brand vision and narrative, solidifying our position as the definitive leader in data and AI upskilling.
    • Collaborate closely with the executive leadership team to ensure marketing efforts are deeply integrated with product, sales, and overall go-to-market strategies.
    • Drive the reimagination of Marketing at Multiverse in the era of AI
  • B2B Marketing & Demand Generation:
    • Lead and optimize all B2B marketing initiatives, including:
      • Lead Generation: Develop and implement high-impact strategies to generate qualified leads for sales, leveraging diverse channels and innovative approaches.
      • Field Marketing & Events: Drive effective field marketing and events programs to build relationships, generate pipeline, and accelerate sales cycles.
      • Account-Based Marketing (ABM): Champion and scale ABM strategies to target key enterprise accounts with personalized and impactful campaigns.
      • Content Marketing: Oversee the creation of compelling and valuable content that resonates with target audiences across the customer journey.
      • CRM & Marketing Operations: Ensure robust CRM utilization and marketing operations to track, analyze, and optimize campaign performance and lead conversion.
      • Delivering measurable ROI: Driving efficient lead conversion and repeat customer acquisition from all marketing activities.
  • Brand Marketing & Learner Communications:
    • Architect and drive the strategic evolution of the Multiverse brand, ensuring it powerfully communicates our leadership in data and AI upskilling and resonates deeply with enterprise clients and diverse learners.
    • Develop and execute high-impact brand campaigns that not only elevate Multiverse's reputation but also clearly articulate our unique value proposition and thought leadership in the Edtech space.
    • Lead learner communications, ensuring clear, engaging, and impactful messaging throughout the apprentice journey, from acquisition to alumni engagement, reinforcing the brand promise.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of approximately 20 marketing professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning.
    • Attract, retain, and develop top marketing talent, ensuring the team has the skills and resources to achieve its goals.
    • Establish clear team structures, roles, and responsibilities, promoting cross-functional collaboration within the marketing department and across the wider business.
  • New Market Entry:
    • Develop and execute sophisticated marketing strategies to successfully launch and establish Multiverse's brand and generate initial momentum and leads in new international markets.
    • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to inform localized marketing approaches and refine go-to-market strategies for international expansion.
Required Experience & Skills:

  • 15+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., VP or equivalent) within a B2B software or services company.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive significant B2B lead generation, pipeline growth, and revenue.
  • Extensive experience across the full marketing mix, including demand generation, field marketing, events, ABM, content marketing, brand building, and communications.
  • High degree of comfort with AI and how it can be used to augment a marketing function
  • Demonstrable experience in evolving and scaling a brand, with a strong understanding of brand narrative and articulation.
  • Prior experience leading and managing a sizable marketing team (ideally 15+ individuals) with a focus on talent development and team empowerment.
  • Experience operating within a fast-paced, high-growth environment, ideally a Series D/E stage company or unicorn.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making and campaign optimisation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including the CEO and Board.
  • Familiarity with the UK market landscape is essential, with a demonstrable understanding of entering and establishing presence in new international markets.
